San Juan – In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021, the San Sebastián Street Festivities will be held virtually and some aspects will take place in person, as announced on Wednesday by the mayor of San Juan, Miguel Romero Lugo.
“This event this year, facing the reality that we have to maintain social distancing and minimize the risks of COVID, we will be carrying out this holiday in two days, January 30 and 31. On both days they will see events virtually, both on television and on social networks, and also face-to-face events, “said Romero Lugo at a press conference.
He explained that on Saturday and Sunday there will be events for artisans to exhibit and sell their products by the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture.
It will be held on the street in front of the Institute of Puerto Rican Culture and Plaza Juan Ponce de León.
In addition, the Plaza de Hostos, the Plaza de Armas was separated so that the artisans can locate themselves.
The artistic events will be broadcast on WAPA Television and WAPA América and the social networks of the Autonomous Municipality of San Juan. As part of the show, capsules of the Municipality will be broadcast.
