The Supreme Court judges do not go to the message of Wanda Vázquez

The members of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico did not attend today, Thursday, the message on the state of the country's situation and the governor's budget Wanda Vázquez Garced from the Centro de Bellas Artes de Santurce.

In a communication sent to El Nuevo Día it was reported that the presiding judge, Maite D. Oronoz Rodríguez, personally contacted the first executive to communicate the determination, thanked the invitation and excused the associated judges.

It was reported that, however, they will be "attentive to the announcements related to the budget and that they will always continue in a spirit of collaboration with the sister branches of government."

The determination of the members of the Supreme Court occurs amid signs that the call to the message does not meet constitutional requirements. Legislators of the New Progressive Party (PNP) have denounced that the approval of a joint resolution endorsed by both assemblies should have mediated.

Meanwhile, legislators of the Popular Democratic Party (PPD) have maintained that the activity is a political act to less than two months after the celebration of the primaries.
