SAN JUAN – The Secretary of the Treasury Department, Francisco Parés Alicea, confirmed this morning in a radio interview that the agency he directs made the first deposits of $ 600 as part of federal aid to try to alleviate a little the economic effects caused by the pandemic of the COVID-19.

According to Parés Alicea, some 200,000 taxpayers received 600 dollars in their bank accounts, for about 190 million dollars

The Treasury works with the Economic Impact Payments of $ 600 approved under the federal law known as the COVID-related Tax Reliefe Act of 2020, the agency reported on its Twitter account.
