The Health Department report reported six deaths from Covid-19 and 455 confirmed cases and 532 additional probable cases.
With the 987 new cases reported today, there are 17,872 confirmed and probable cases since the pandemic began.
Of the reported fatalities, two were classified as confirmed and correspond to a 75-year-old man from the Bayamón region and an 88-year-old woman from the Metro region.
In addition, four probable deaths were recorded, which are a 32-year-old man from the Ponce region; a 78-year-old man from the Arecibo region; a 76-year-old man from the Mayagüez region and a 70-year-old man from the Bayamón region.
With these reported deaths, the total confirmed deaths add up to 115 and the probable ones are 110, therefore, the total of deaths is 225. Salud noted that any death recorded after the report was issued will be reflected in subsequent reports.
On the other hand, the total results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 6,543. The total was adjusted after adding 91 cases; of these, 19 have a sample collection date of July 14 and 72 have a sample collection date of July 15.
Of this total, 3,296 are women and 3,247 are men. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of July 16 to 29.
As part of the report, 532 additional probable cases were recorded, with a sample collection date of 16 as of July 29, 2020. In this line, the total is 11,329, after being adjusted, by subtracting 59 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report, Health detailed. Similarly, 72 cases were added with a sample collection date from April 15 to July 7. Probable cases are divided into 6,215 women and 5,114 men.
