There are 33,199 confirmed and probable cases of Covid-19 on the Island | government


The Health Department report did not report deaths from Covid-19; meanwhile, 246 confirmed cases and 106 additional probable cases were registered.

With these new cases, there are 33,199 confirmed and probable cases accumulated since the pandemic began.

Meanwhile, the agency reported on its dashboard 383 hospitalized by the virus.

Of the 383 people hospitalized, there are 65 intensive patients and 50 with a ventilator. No pediatric patient is hospitalized for the virus.

With no fatalities reported, the confirmed deaths total 287 and the probable deaths are 147, making the total number of deaths 434.

On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 15,476, of which 8,136 are women and 7,340 are men. The total was adjusted after adding one case with a sampling date of August 6. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date of August 17 to 28.

As part of the report, 106 additional probable cases were registered, with a sampling date that includes August 19-28. In this line, the total is 17,723, after being adjusted, by subtracting 32 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report. On the other hand, they added 30 cases with a sample collection date from July 20 to August 5. Probable cases are divided into 9,757 women and 7,966 men.
