
The Health Department report reported five deaths from Covid-19; meanwhile, 107 confirmed cases and 48 additional probable cases were registered.
With these new cases, there are 482 reported deaths, and 35,504 confirmed and probable cases accumulated since the pandemic began.
Meanwhile, the agency reported 380 hospitalized by the virus on its dashboard.
Of the 380 people hospitalized, there are 80 intensive care patients, one of these pediatric, and 66 with a ventilator.
As part of the report, two confirmed deaths were recorded which are broken down below:
– 92-year-old woman from the Metro region
– 44-year-old woman from the Bayamón region
In addition, three probable deaths were reported, broken down below:
– 45-year-old man from the Metro region
– 93-year-old man from the Bayamón region
– 73-year-old man from the Metro region
With the additional deaths reported, the confirmed deaths total 319 and the probable deaths are 163, making the total number of deaths 482.
On the other hand, the total of the results of confirmed cases of Covid-19 is 16,788, of which 8,875 are women and 7,913 are men. The total was adjusted after adding two cases with sampling dates of August 13 and 21; in addition, 13 duplicate cases were subtracted. The reported cases are those that have a positive PCR test, with a sample collection date from August 24 to September 5.
As part of the report, 48 additional probable cases were registered, with a sampling date that ranges from August 25 to September 5. In this line, the total is 18,716, after being adjusted, by subtracting 16 cases that had a positive molecular test, later, and were added to the cases registered as part of this report. On the other hand, 11 duplicate cases were subtracted with a sample collection date from July 14 to September 3. Probable cases are divided into 10,317 women and 8,399 men.
