CAROLINA – Charges against a man for murdering his partner and violation of the Weapons Law were filed Monday afternoon in the Carolina court, police reported.
The man was identified as Alex Yamil Ortiz Cruz, 34, who last Sunday, October 18, in the area of the small square of the Covadonga residential complex in Trujillo Alto, shot Yolanda Díaz Cruz, 42, a resident of the place.
Díaz Cruz died at the place where she was shot.
Ortiz Cruz was brought before the presence of Judge Wilfred Viera, who after hearing the evidence determined cause for the crimes of murder and violation of the Arms Law, setting a bond of $ 1,300,000, which was not loaned, so it was admitted to the Bayamón prison.
An indictment is only an indictment and is not evidence of guilt. The accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
