SAN JUAN – The former candidate for governor for the Citizen Victory Movement (MVC), Alexandra Lúgaro Aponte, through tears, reacted to the pardon granted by the governor, Wanda Vázquez Garced, to her ex-husband Edwin Domínguez.

“For many this has been like trying to fuck with the candidate, and they have forgotten that who they are screwing with is my daughter,” said Lúgaro Aponte in a video on his social networks.

Domínguez will be released through clemency conditional on lowering his sentence to four years and establishing that the first of those four years, he will have to stay at home 24 hours a day.

“I finally managed to divorce a person who refused to let me go from his life,” he said. “My daughter and I had to face this person trying to run us over with his bus in the middle of the Ponce de León, we had to ask for help from the Police,” he said.

Domínguez was found guilty of violating the restraining orders and in July 2020, he was sentenced to 8 years in prison.
