GUAYNABO – A man wanted by both federal and state authorities was arrested with several firearms on Monday afternoon, in the Hato neighborhood, La Paloma sector in Guaynabo, police reported.
Against Jean Martínez Machuca, 27, also known as “Yankee” and resident of Caguas, they weighed several state arrest warrants with a global bail of $ 1,750,000. He had a federal arrest warrant for violation of probationary conditions.
Martínez Machuca was wanted for attempted murder, Weapons Law and aggravated damages. It was number five on the Caguas area’s Most Wanted list.
In the company of Martínez Machuca, Ángel Ruiz Navarro and Edna Ruiz Navarro, both 31 years old and residents of the place where “Yankee” was detained, were also arrested.
They were seized with two 7.62 caliber rifles, a Glock model 23 pistol, a bullet pistol, eight pistol magazines, three rifle magazines, two 357 magazines, 184 .40 caliber ammunition, 78 7.62 caliber ammunition, 33 ammunition 357, a container with marijuana, two cell phones, paraphernalia and $ 1,029.
The trio was arrested by agents assigned to the Criminal Intelligence Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps of the Caguas Area.
The federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Weapons and Explosives (ATF, for its acronym in English) assumed jurisdiction of the case.
