The list of candidates by direct nomination for the special election where congressional delegates will be chosen in search of statehood appears to continue to grow.
A day after the former governor Ricardo Rosselló publicly indicate that he would be willing to become a delegate if the voters vote for him, in the streets of the country they have begun to distribute promotion so that the former mayor of San Juan, Jorge Santini, is also voted in the same way.
According to the publicity delivered by the Hato Rey area, they ask that a vote be made by direct nomination for Santini in one of the positions in the federal Chamber.

In tomorrow’s electoral event, the voters who participate will be able to choose two people for the Senate and four for the Federal Chamber. However, no endorsement of this campaign appears on the former official’s social networks.
Currently, ten people officially aspire to be elected, among which are the former legislator Melinda Romero, the former mayor of Ponce, María Meléndez, Zoraida Buxó, Elizabeth Torres, Víctor Pérez, Jorge Iván Rodríguez, Roberto López, Roberto Lefranc, Ricardo Marrero and Adriel Vélez.
In addition to Rosselló, seeking to be elected by direct nomination, is the past federal monitor of the Puerto Rico Police, Arnaldo Claudio, and Dr. Miriam Ramírez de Ferrer, who could not obtain the endorsements to become an official candidate.
The event will begin tomorrow at 9 a.m., and the polling stations will be open until 5 p.m.
