The Puerto Rico Teachers Association (AMPR) announced that the San Juan Court issued last Friday an order to execute the sentence to start the process of payment of the annual salary increase of $ 500 approved according to the 2019-2020 fiscal plan to transitory teachers.
At a press conference, it was announced that this order requires the designated secretary of the Department of Education (DE), Elba Aponte Santos, to identify the temporary teachers who are entitled to this increase and the amounts that would be paying, owed since 2019.
“A new victory in favor of the Puerto Rican teachers,” expressed the president of the AMPR, Víctor Bonilla Sánchez.
