The College of Notaries of Puerto Rico (CNPR), in coordination with the American Notary Academy and the American Affairs Commission, will offer two educational conferences in commemoration of the Puerto Rican Notary Day.
The calendar of activities begins with the conference New Ibero-American perspectives on inheritance law, which will be held on Tuesday, September 29 at 6:00 pm Dr. Cristina Armella, president of the International Union of Notaries and rector of the Notarial University of Argentina, will participate as resources in this conference; Javier H. Moreyra, notary advisor to the Federal Council of Notaries of Argentina and the Notarial College of La Pampa; Gerardo J. Bosques, associate professor at the Inter-American University School of Law; Fernando Báez, member of the Board of Directors of the College of Notary Public of Paraguay; Olga Mercedes García, head of the chair of law at the Universidad Iberoamericana de México and Dennis Martínez Colón, vice president of the International Union of Notaries, who will act as moderator of the panel.
This conference will have 2.5 continuing education credits for the notarial guild.
They will also offer on Friday, October 2 at 2:00 pm the conference Technology stalking the notarial function: proposals and solutions by Mr. Manuel E. Ávila, director of the Office of Inspection of Notaries of the Supreme Court of Puerto Rico. In this conference, the implementation of technology in the notarial function will be analyzed and 1.5 continuing education credits will be offered.
