Puerto Rico – With the dual purpose of serving as motivation and at the same time as business training for citizens of the southern region affected by the earthquakes, the Centro Para Puerto Rico Fundación Sila M. Calderón, is calling on residents of Yauco and Guánica to participate in a Online Business Training Program.

According to the Program Coordinator, Marisol Feliciano, the initiative will consist of 16 business training workshops that will begin on October 3, 2020 via Zoom.

They are intended to help entrepreneurs develop their business idea or strengthen businesses that have been affected by the earthquakes in Yauco or Guánica.

Feliciano explained that although the Center for Puerto Rico is generally dedicated to helping and training women, this time the workshops will be directed to both men and women, as long as they are over 18 years of age.

In the same way, he indicated that interested persons must have a low socioeconomic profile. However, the entity evaluates the commitment and desire of each applicant to develop and undertake. The main requirement is that applicants reside in the municipalities of Yauco or Guánica.

On the other hand, Feliciano pointed out that the workshops will be led by professional resources in the areas to be discussed, from lawyers and CPAs, to experienced entrepreneurs. All committed to the business and economic development of the country.

In turn, he added that although the program is based on self-management, the participant is provided technical support and is accompanied and guided throughout the development process of their company.

Another important aspect is that the program encourages alliances between participants, rather than seeing each other as competition.

Next Thursday, September 17, 2020, at 6:00 pm there will be an orientation via Zoom for all those who wish to learn more about the program and how to apply. The meeting ID is 787 765 4500 and it will also be broadcast via Faceboo Live.

People who wish to apply to the program can call 787-765-4500, write to [email protected] or access the QR Code that appears in the promotion.
