CATAÑO – A violent death was registered at 9:54 on Saturday night, at kilometer 3 of Highway 869, in the Palmas de Cataño neighborhood, the Police reported.
According to preliminary information, a call was received through the 9-1-1 Emergency System alerting about a burning car. Firefighters came to the scene and put out the fire.
Agents from the Cataño barracks who arrived at the site located a charred body in the passenger seat of a four-door sedan car.
It was not immediately reported if there is evidence at the scene, such as bullet casings, to determine the cause of the person’s death.
Agent Roynashmil Rodríguez from the Homicide Division, Sergeant Julio Figueroa and prosecutor Aileen González took charge of the murder investigation.
