SAN JUAN – The Police reported on Tuesday that at around 10:48 in the morning, they alerted about a demonstration that takes place in front of the Popular Center, on the premises of the Office of the Ombudsman for Women, on Avenida Juan Ponce de León, in Hato Rey.
According to the Uniformed, a group of protesters, which number between 15 and 20 people, carry out the protest and request that a state of emergency be declared in the country due to the femicides that occurred.
At the moment it is indicated that the women tried to enter by force in the Office of the Procurator of the Woman reason why the agents had to intervene with the demonstrators.
It was reported that the damages, if any, are verified in the place.
Additionally, drivers are advised to avoid such a taxiway due to possible traffic congestion.
