They investigate two complaints of alleged fraud against a store in Plaza Las Américas

San Juan – Agents, attached to the Hato Rey Oeste Precinct, preliminarily investigated two complaints of alleged fraud against the Oro Gold Cosmetics establishment, located in the Plaza Las Américas shopping center in Hato Rey, the Police reported on Wednesday.

According to the police report, one of the injured parties, Carmen Hernández, alleged that while she was walking through the corridors, employees of the place approached her and took her into the store where they offered her services and beauty products in the amount of $ 22,300.

According to the complainant, at the moment she was stunned and proceeded to pay them with a card from her checking account.

Subsequently, the woman made arrangements to return the merchandise and was notified that the store does not return money and that they only give credit in the store.

Another similar complaint, against the aforementioned establishment, was investigated on Saturday, October 17, where according to the complainant, Maida Flusa, supposedly a person, whom she can identify, scammed Pedro Figueroa García, 83, and Gloria Texidor García, 86-year-old, in the premises of Oro Gold Cosmetics to buy some beauty products, valued at $ 11,000. Both of the old men allegedly have Alzheimer’s.

Both cases were referred to personnel from the San Juan Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) to continue with the investigation.
