The medical emergency personnel of the Metropolitan Hospital of Guaynabo paid an emotional tribute to Dr. Raúl Rubio Burgos, who died after becoming infected with Covid-19.
Employees, paramedics and patients dismissed Dr. Rubio by taking a symbolic tour of the hospital where he worked for more than 20 years in the emergency room. The portrait of the deceased doctor was placed on a stretcher and flowers were left on it throughout the corridors of the hospital.
According to the statistics of the College of Physicians, Dr. Rubio Burgos is the fifth doctor in Puerto Rico to die from the coronavirus.
