Antilles Adventist University (UAA) announced the availability of a free tutoring program in English, Spanish, and math for students in grades one through six. The program addresses the need of many children to reinforce their knowledge and skills in these subjects, particularly today when the learning process in many schools has been affected by the social distancing imposed by the COVID-19 Pandemic.
“The primary grades are the foundation of lifelong learning. And in this new remote scenario, we see the need to be that helping hand that can provide support, both to students and to parents, ”said Prof. Lizaira Rodríguez Salvá, director of the Education Program
The tutoring service is also a tool of the Teacher Preparation Program, which allows reinforcing the preparation of future educators who study in the Department of Education of the Adventist University of the Antilles, through service experiences.
The tutorials will be offered by the Zoom platform from Monday to Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 until December 10. Those interested in information can write to the email [email protected] and provide the student’s full name, grade, parent’s or guardian’s full name, and phone number.
