Three men who were in a boat about 12 feet in length were rescued on Tuesday night after a strong wave turned the boat they were in, police said.
Agents Luis Avilés Vera and Juan Santiago Villafañe, from the Police Maritime Unit, rescued the three people near the Arecibo dock.
The three men were given medical attention, determining that they are in good health.
Dangerous sea conditions.
For Wednesday morning, the following warnings are in effect: for small boat operators, strong undertows, coastal flooding and high risk of dangerous ocean currents, for the rest of the week, due to distant Hurricane Epsilon, reported the National Service of Meteorology (SNM) in San Juan and the National Hurricane Center.
There is swell up to 10 feet and occasionally higher.
