CAROLINA – Agents assigned to the San Juan Highway Patrol Division (Transit) are investigating a serious accident reported at 6:00 am today, at Branch 8 Avenida Campo Rico intersection with Avenida Iturregui kilometer 2.9 in direction from Carolina to San Juan
One person, presumed to be a pedestrian, was reportedly struck by a motor vehicle. At the moment his condition is serious and he would be transported to the Río Piedras Medical Center.
Currently there is a closed lane and another open to vehicular flow. Citizens are recommended to take alternate roads such as 65 de Infanteria, Avenida Baldorioty de Castro or Avenida Simón Madera to avoid traffic congestion.
