At 11:00 am on Tuesday, the National Hurricane Center (CNH) in Miami began to issue bulletins on the possible tropical cyclone nine.
So , various weather alerts were issued for multiple islands, including Puerto Rico and the American Virgin Islands. Puerto Rico, Vieques and Culebra are under tropical storm warning.
This is the tropical wave that lies to the east of the Lesser Antilles and moves west at between 15 and 20 mph. The system has tropical storm winds (40 mph), but is not a tropical storm yet.
When approaching Puerto Rico, its winds are expected to be close to 50 mph.
An aircraft of the United States Air Force will investigate the disturbance this afternoon.
The trajectory that the CNH traces at the moment has the center of the phenomenon crossing the island, entering through Yabucoa and leaving through Hatillo.
