
It could soon be tropical depression 11.
A low pressure in the center of the Atlantic shows, this morning, signs of cyclonic development, so the National Hurricane Center (CNH) in Miami gives a 90 percent chance of becoming a tropical depression in the next 48 hours . It also has the same chance of achieving it in five days.
This tropical wave moves west at a speed of 15 mph, but once it approaches the Caribbean the movement will be more northwest.
“The first images of Visible satellite show a better defined circulation center forming in association with an area of low pressure located about 900 miles west southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. “Environmental conditions are expected to become more favorable for development and warnings about a tropical depression could begin as early as later today if trends of development, “warns CNH.
” This disturbance is forecast to move west to west northwest at around 15 mph across the tropical Atlantic over the next several days and conditions are expected to become less favorable for development by the end of the week ”, he concludes.
