Two businesses in Ponce closed for violating social distancing and not wearing masks

Two businesses in Ponce were closed for violating social distancing rules and not using face masks, as well as other health requirements that violate executive orders to prevent the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus reported the secretary of Department of Health Lorenzo González Feliciano.

The establishments that were intervened by the authorities are El 69 and El Mangoito.

This intervention occurs at a time when the agency has reported increases in the number of COVID-19 infections and people hospitalized by this virus in the country.

“Our commitment is firm to enforce all the laws established to safeguard the health of the people of Puerto Rico. It is the responsibility of all, both individuals and merchants, to jointly confront the spread of COVID-19 and comply with the executive order established for these purposes. We will use all the tools at our disposal so that said order is carried out and guarantee the health of Puerto Ricans. “said the secretary in written statements.

The intervention was carried out by Health personnel, with the collaboration of agents from the Bureau of the Police and the administration of the municipality of Ponce.

“We urge private citizens, as well as members of the health industries, to continue reporting any violation of law or activity that violates the executive orders issued, as well as the Laws that the Department of Health administers, in order to take action immediate remedies ”added the head of the agency.
