Under arrest one of the most wanted in Arecibo

Arecibo – The Police reported that on Thursday afternoon, in cooperation with the Stolen Vehicles, Motorized Unit, Highway Patrols and Special Arrests divisions, they carried out a work plan for surveillance and arrest in the Regional urbanization Calle 9 in Arecibo.

According to the police report, the arrest of Ramón Colón Crespo, “Papito”, 36, one of the 10 most wanted in the Arecibo area, was achieved.

It was reported that he has two arrest warrants, one for murder in the first degree and violation of the Weapons Law, with a bond amounting to $ 500 thousand, issued by Judge Manuel Oriola Pérez, of the Arecibo Court, for events that occurred for the August 27, 2018, in Arecibo, where José David Vélez Vargas was assassinated.

The second order for violation of the Arms Law with a bond of $ 200 thousand, issued by Judge Joie-Lin Laó Meléndez, of the Arecibo Court.

The Uniformed said that Colón Crespo, at the time of his arrest, was seized a .40 caliber Glock pistol, 3 magazines, 19 .40 caliber ammunition, approximately two-eighths of cocaine and paraphernalia.

Agent Wilfredo González Álvarez, under the supervision of Sergeant Roberto Cruz Rivera, from the Anticrime Initiative, will consult the case with the prosecutor on duty for the possible filing of corresponding charges.
