The teaching organization UNETE rejected today that the Department of Education administer the College Board tests to students in twelfth grade.
According to their written communication, this “implies exposing students and teachers to a high level of contagion of COVID19”.
The president of the union, Liza Fournier Córdova, said that “it is absurd to administer tests to students in schools when the circumstances of the high level of contagion of COVID19 require protecting health and life. It is irresponsible and a reprehensible act to expose more than 15,000 students and more than 500 teachers to an unnecessary risk of contagion. “
Earlier, the Federation of Teachers asked that parents and students who aspire to enter the University of Puerto Rico, demand that the institution not ask the College Board for admissions in 2021.
