The University of Puerto Rico (UPR) will recognize the 9,339 graduates who completed university studies this semester, through the special program We did it together !, which will be broadcast next Thursday, July 23, at 9:00 pm on WIPR, channel 6 . “The 2020 class of the University of Puerto Rico proved to be very resilient, committed and persevering. We are extremely proud of all of our graduates. The Grade Collation will be held in December, but we want to honor you for your performance and celebrate your goals. We hope you like it and serve as a stimulus to continue forging your dreams, for the personal benefit of Puerto Rico. The program will include the participation of successful students and graduates who have excelled locally and internationally. During the broadcast, which highlights the unity of the eleven venues, students will have the opportunity to relive memorable moments that marked their trajectory and academic development. In addition, the student contribution to research, education and Puerto Rican society will be highlighted from the first educational center, whose academic excellence already has more than 117 years of history. The special event will be broadcast simultaneously on the digital platforms of the university institution and on channel 6.
For his part, the vice president of Student Affairs of the UPR, José L. Perdomo, explained that the program We did it together! It will last one hour in which success stories and overcoming of the graduates, who are a symbol of the student excellence promoted by the university, will be shared. The event, organized and produced by the Vice Presidency and Dean of Student Affairs together with the communications offices of the university system with the collaboration of WIPR, will also present the achievements of outstanding students in athletics and community work, among other areas.
