Virtual Christmas at Plaza las Américas and Plaza del Caribe

The Plaza Las Américas and Plaza Del Caribe shopping centers announced today the start of the Christmas season as of Friday, November 13, 2020. Under the theme “From north to south we share the Joy of Christmas”, both shopping centers are getting ready to present a family show that can be enjoyed from the comfort of homes, in virtual mode, to establish the start of the Christmas season in Puerto Rico with the lighting of Plaza Las Américas and the lighting of Christmas in Plaza Del Caribe.

“We find ourselves living a new reality. However, this should not be an impediment for us to celebrate together and as a family, the arrival of one of the most anticipated times for all Puerto Rican families, such as the Christmas season. In both shopping centers we will make sure it is a merry Christmas. For them, we have put together a whole program of virtual and face-to-face celebrations to share the joy of Christmas with the family, ”Iris Ayala, marketing director of Plaza Las Américas, said in writing.

The activities in both shopping centers begin on Friday, November 13 from 7:00 pm where, through a simultaneous transmission on the Facebook pages of Plaza Las Americas Y Caribbean Square, the public will be able to witness a 45-minute show by La Tuna de Segreles, Ana Isabel and Grupo Travesía with the participation of Pedrito Guzmán; Diego, and Lola and the Plaza Dancers. The transmission of the Christmas special will feature the animation of the presenter, actress and comedian Tita Guerrero and the journalist and communicator, María del Carmen González.

On Saturday, November 14, the traditional “Snowfall in PLAZA” begins in both shopping centers. To comply with the required distancing and security measures, people interested in enjoying the snowfall must make a reservation in the PLAZA App. to guarantee your space. “Snow Falls in Plaza” will be presented every day at Plaza Las Américas at the hours of 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. In Plaza Del Caribe the snowfall and the Light Show will take place every day at 12:00 pm, 3:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. Families must download the application and make their reservation in advance to participate in this attraction that is offered free of charge in both shopping centers. Reservation spaces are limited and a maximum of four people from the same family nucleus will be accepted for each reservation. The quota varies for each mall.

“We have also designed a whole virtual program through the Facebook pages of Plaza Las Américas and Plaza Del Caribe so that families can enjoy, from the comfort of their homes, a lot of entertainment during this festive season. We all need to celebrate and have fun, but always making sure it is in a safe environment. And what better than the comfort of our homes to celebrate these Christmas holidays as a family ”, said Susana Santiago, marketing director of Plaza Del Caribe.

The virtual entertainment programming of both shopping centers includes: exercises with MCS on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9:00 am on the Plaza Las Américas Facebook page and on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00 am on the Facebook of Plaza Del Caribe. Both pages will also present the following virtual events at 7:00 pm: Karaoke Wednesdays with Didi Romero, a show by the PLAZA Dancers on Thursdays and Fridays of music with the Tuna de Segreles and CoroMío. On December 24 at 7:00 pm El Nacimiento Viviente will also be presented on the Facebook pages of both malls.

On Friday, November 20, the arrival of Santa Claus will be presented virtually at both shopping centers. Starting at 7:00 pm, families will be able to enjoy the special “Santa in quarantine” on the Facebook pages, an activity that establishes the arrival of Santa Claus and the start of the traditional photo with Santa until December 24 . This year, Santa has a sleigh that complies with distancing measures for everyone’s safety. Likewise, from December 26 to January 5, photos will be taken with Los Reyes Magos, also complying with due distancing and the security measures established by the CDC and local authorities. To take photos with Santa and Los Reyes Magos it will also be necessary to make a reservation through the PLAZA App.

From November 14 to 26, the Early Bird Pre-Sale will take place in both shopping centers, replacing the traditional “Black Friday”. During this period, customers of both shopping centers will be able to benefit from discounts and special offers available through the PLAZA App. Likewise, the merchandise selected and purchased at participating stores during this period may be collected on Friday, November 27 in the “curbside pickup” area of ​​each mall, through a system of ushers who will deliver the merchandise directly to each vehicle.

Finally, on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at 7:00 pm and through the Facebook pages of both shopping centers, the “History of the Holy Kings” will be presented., which will feature the animation of the character “El Trotamundos” and where The Three Wise Men will share a special message for all the families of Puerto Rico.
