Without drinking water sectors of Cabo Rojo | government

The Betances filter plant in Cabo Rojo operates in low production due to the high turbidity of the raw water, which left the subscribers of the Monte Real urbanization in that municipality without drinking water service.

According to Ebdiel Escobar Castro, the director of the Aqueducts and Sewers Authority (AAA) in the San Germán area, other sectors of the municipality could also have low pressure or intermittences in the service.

Escobar Castro explained that personnel from the AAA works to increase production, at the same time that brigades from the operational area repair a leak in the line on the PR-103 highway, in order to restore service in the affected sector.

Given the possibility of turbidity when the service, it is recommended to boil the water intended for human consumption for at least three minutes.
