
An event between the transmission centers of Sabana Llana and Monacillos caused the interruption of electricity service for sectors of the municipalities of Carolina, Trujillo Alto and San Juan.
This was reported by the Electric Power Authority (PREPA) on its social networks.
“Technical personnel attend the event between the transmission centers of Sabana Llana and Monacillos to restore electricity service as soon as possible in sectors of Carolina, Trujillo Alto, Río Piedras and San Juan,” said the public corporation.

For his part, PREPA’s head of technical operations, Carlos Alvarado, detailed through an interview with Radio Isla 1320 AM that “the number (of subscribers without service) exceeds 10,000.”
“A breakdown in the Sabana Llana transmission yard that is in front of Plaza Carolina; that caused lines 3,100 and 37,009 to go out of service, “added Alvarado.
