ARECIBO – The executive director of the Northern Region of the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority (AAA), José A. Rivera Ortiz reported this Thursday that several filtration plants (PF) are kept out of operation due to high turbidity.
“The PF that experienced high turbidity and that remain stopped are the following: PF Mameyes Limón, PF Canalizo, PF Jayuya Urbana, PF Utuado, PF Santa Isabel de Utuado, PF Hatillo-Camuy, PF Frontón in Ciales, PF Almirante Sur in Vega Baja, ”said the official in written statements.

The municipalities that have sectors that experience low pressure and interruption of service are the following: Lares, Utuado, Jayuya, Hatillo, Camuy and Ciales. It is recommended that once service is restored, boil the water for three minutes before human consumption.
