Citron – A woman accused of mistreating an elderly person was arrested on Tuesday by agents assigned to the Division of Arrests and Raids of the Criminal Investigations Corps (CIC) of the Caguas Area.

María Rodríguez Cruz, 39, was arrested in the Rabanal neighborhood in Cidra, where she lives.

Against Rodríguez Cruz there was an arrest warrant with bail of $ 15,000 for violations of article 127 A (Abuse of the elderly) of the Puerto Rico Penal Code, issued by Judge Evyanne Mártir Hernández of the Caguas Court.

This is due to events that occurred on the morning of October 16, when Rodríguez Cruz was accused of physically assaulting an 84-year-old man.

The arrested woman was brought before the aforementioned judge to read the warnings and after not being able to provide bail, she was ordered to enter the Bayamón Correctional Institution.
