SAN JUAN – A woman was the victim of fraud, in an incident reported to the Police on Friday morning in Santurce.
According to the report, Larysaidee Rodríguez, alleged that she received a phone call from a woman who identified herself as a representative of the T-Mobile company.
The woman allegedly told her that due to the COVID-19 situation, her rate will be reduced to 50 percent. Then, he asked for his credit card information (VISA), to which Rodríguez agreed. Immediately afterwards, the injured party realized that two thousand dollars were withdrawn from her account.
The case was referred from the Santurce Precinct to the Property and Fraud Division of the San Juan Criminal Investigation Corps so that they could continue with the investigation.
