Yabucoa Municipal Police Commissioner reportedly violated the curfew

The Commissioner of the Municipal Police of Yabucoa José Luis Navarro Cruz was immediately relieved of his duties, the municipality reported tonight.

According to the brief statement Press release, the official would have violated the curfew contemplated in the Executive Order 2020-023 imposed by the Governor Wanda Vázquez Garced to decrease the contagions of COVID-19 in Puerto Rico.

The release of functions was immediate and until the process initiated against him ends.

They also reported that they designated Lieutenant Julio Sánchez as interim commissioner of the Municipal Police.
